European languages!!

Postby thierry himpe » Mon Oct 27, 2008 2:39 am

Hello you all,

I'm 44 and i'm a man from Belgium already married for 4 years now with a thai women.
I can speak and writing netherlands and French.
My english is not 100% but i express myself really good. I learned two years spanish (ones a week for 4 hours)
When i go to Thailand (each year 1 month) i teach the thai children english and french. It's verry difficult for them because they do not understand the grammatics of talking and they try to copy our voice.
Those childrens really want to learn or languages and sometimes you have to translate in there language (Thai). That's why i'm learning the thais languages now. I like it but it's not easy with the different way to prononciate. for example (kaauw = Rice = new = news = nine).....

Hello Thierry,

It's vey nice of you to learn Thai to help those students.
I might be one of them, though. I am a student, 18 years old.
I can speak and write English very well since I was an exchange student a few years ago to the USA.
I also learn French- for almost a year now, I can read quite well, but unable to speak with decent accent.
So if you please help me as a student of yours, I would be vey pleased.
I, in return, might be able to teach you some Thai and its pronounciation.
This is my email sm_o_ky@hotmail.com
Please contact me,
