I just discovered the beautiful song 'Full Moon' (เดือนเพ็ญ) in a version by Aad Carabao. Apparently it is a traditional. An English translation of the lyrics would be most welcome, as I don't (yet) speak the language...
Can anybody help please? If necessary I can forward the Thai lyrics.

So either a cicada or a type of instrument, given the context and the fact they're on about nature and fields and the wind blowing and stuff I think i'd go with the former here, maybe. What does anyone else think?

Then for สุมควายตามคอก, does this not give a sense of "herding the buffaloes (back) to their stables (or wherever you keep buffaloes)" I'm no expert on buffaloes and that, what do they do with them in the evenings? just let them roam around doing their own thing or get them all together in a barn-type thing? ....... Corral is the word I was searching for apparently, that's where cattle are housed.

Thank you very much for your combined effort. At the end of this month I shall be visiting my girlfriend's relatives in Maha Sarakham. She promised me to go watch the full moon in the rice fields worked by her father. Even though she is very happy to be in Belgium, I now understand what it means to her 'to share the full moon' with me. Thank you again.
