Hi!

I have lurked on the forums before but have finally signed up.

I must admit that 15 months ago the only thing I know about Thailand was the movie Shutter. Then I met someone and all that changed. I spent a little time in Thailand soaking up the sun, culture, and enjoying the food and the beauty of the country. I immersed myself in all the Thai movies I could DL and grew interested in learning the language. (It's hard enough to find Thai movies, let alone WITH English subtitles.) That all led me here.

Learning Thai is going to be a challenge. I know I will need to apply myself. I am actually considering taking some unpaid leave from work to study Thai in the Kingdom, but feel it is essential to try learning from home to see if it is something I am able to grasp. (No point in spending the money if I don't have the natural ability to absorb and adopt the language.)

I live in London, UK, so if there is anyone around who would like to meet up, enjoy Thai movies, share Thai music (I was only able to dl one of Aof Pongsak's albums,) and maybe test their patience in attempting to teach me Thai, then please give me a shout.

Khob khun ka! (^_^)/
