Okay, that is enough of that for now. That took about ten minutes to type out, plus making sure the spelling was correct! I've been learning Thai by myself from various sources (mostly Benjawan Poomsan Becker's books) on and off for the past three years. Eventually I hope to be able to read books in Thai and be able to speak and write about anything I feel like. I research the history of the Tai peoples of southern China (often called Zhuang, but this is a relatively new name for them), so I would like to be able to read the Thai scholarship on the subject eventually. In the past I used to live in Guangxi, and learnt to speak a bit of some of the local language there, which is kind of a cross between Lao and Cantonese.
