Haven't messed with this too much yet so I don't know how accurate the tones and pronunciation are, but check this out:

I don't know what a native speaker would think, but I'm impressed.

You can paste long phrases and it seems to handle them fine.

Hello

I've just tried this text to speech engine, and it is indeed great for people like me who are learning thai on their own.

http://www.oddcast.com/home/demos/tts/t ... hp?sitepal

I've just noticed something strange, when I listen to the thai word for 'repeat' พูดซํ้า the voice says something much longer.

Any idea why?

Thanks!

You have to type the second word in the following order: "" "" "" .

Brother Q,

Actually this is a typing, rather than a writing issue. the vowel is the only one where the tone mark must be typed before the vowel, I believe. Others may know of another exception.

As a native speaker, I think this software is really not bad!
90% accurate! Unfortunately, it cannot read a long text.
