The dictionary definition page for "ไหม" (as in French "N'est-ce pas") gives the phonemic Thai as "ไหฺม/มั้ย".
The RID and all the individual definitions for "ไหม" give the phonemic Thai only as "ไหฺม" (rising tone).
"มั้ย" would represent a change to high tone.
Where would "มั้ย" (high tone) be used in preference to "ไหฺม" (rising tone)?
Any thoughts?
