How spiffy is this! I just purchased the Muay Thai dual-language book for my iPhone. My phone is a U.S. phone with no Thai number but it cann connect to the Internet via WiFi. One goes to the app store and downloads the software and there is the book, right on the book shelf. One uses the same name and password as is used on the Chulabook registration site itself.

Install the "app" on your iPhone or iPad and your purchase will be automatically downloaded to the appropriate location.

I bought "เรื่อง ทองแดง" today and was pleasantly surprised that both the original and the cartoon version come with an English translation.

In fact both books are identical except of the pictures (cartoon style vs. real pictures + block text)

I haven't started reading yet but I think this book will definitely be worth reading (195 baht for the cartoon version, 300 for the original version).

For those who haven't heard about the book:
It is the story behind the "royal dog" ทองแดง who is a dog from the streets but was adopted by the king. The common street dog that is now living with the king is supposed to be a symbol for the people and the story is related directly to the desired behaviour of the Thai citizen. The book is written by the king himself, the income goes to some foundation (I think for animals, would make sense at least).

Comic: Thai at the top, English at the bottom of each page
Original: Left Page Thai, Right Page English
