I don't know if you've run into this or it's just me but a lot of Thai sites don't let you copy text. Does anyone know why or if there's some way to get around that?

You may be trying to copy and paste a graphic instead of text.

Some news sites (Thai Rath is a good example), have disabled the copy function on their web pages, presumably to stop secondary news aggregators from wholesale ripping-off of their content.

There probably are ways around it, and not even very complex ones, if one took the trouble to pursue it.

Could you (or anyone) send me a link directly to a page which it doesn't work on?

Thairath seems to have changed its policy - the website has been revamped fairly recently so they may have got rid of the annoying no right-click thing at the same time. What I used to use there was the righttoclick addon for Firefox, which allows one to override theses blocks.

That page works for me. I can copy both the text and the image(s).
