What is the first letter and the third from the end.

John, if you want a bite-sized chunk of Thai script to practice on every day, I use the comic strip at thairath.co.th/pol/comic/chai/ch41/p18 (add the http and the www)

It helps me in several ways: 1) reading someone's handwriting. It takes a bit of practice to understand the cursive style, but just like the store signs, you get the hang of it pretty quickly. 2) the comic strip usually follows the headlines in the news (mostly Thai news, but sometimes world news as well), so that helps me get a Thai view (albeit, comic) of what's happening in the news. And 3) the strips are very short.....most I can decypher by looking up just a few words.
