I don't know which browser Yahoo supplies. If it's Microsoft Internet Explorer, just make sure that the Thai option is selected on the View>>Encoding menu.

yahoo 6.5.0 Thai fonts

I tried MSN Messenger 6.0 once and uninstalled it almost immediately, because the Thai text was quite quirky. I do prefer Windows Messenger for Windows XP with better Thai text support and display.

yahoo 6.5.0 Thai fonts

Postby Spacemaff » Wed Oct 08, 2003 10:29 am

I've had this problem with Yahoo messenger too.......my old version used to work. But now after 4 or more different Thai letters are typed in a row, they don't appear after I have sent them.Although they do display before they are sent.Bizarrely if I type 1 letter several times, for example ววววววววววววววววววววววว,or 3 letters or less, such as สวั,it does display.Tried all different fonts, and encoding, uninstalling and re-downloading,all to no avail.Even sent an e-mail to Yahoo describing the problem, but they never replied to me.
I use Windows XP and the latest Yahoo Messenger.MSN Messenger and Windows Messenger both work fine for me in Thai.Would be interested if anyone has any solutions to this,Spacemaff
