Does Thailand have a flower that represents its' country?

It's called ราชพฤกษ์ or คูน (Pudding Pine, Indian Laburnum, Golden Shower) Cassia fistula L.

I believe Thailand National flower is Mali or Jasmine as my teacher has quiz me in school.

Jasmine was elected for its cool fragrance and whiteness which represent the purity of our religion, Bhuddism.

The lotus is the flower of India.

I am not aware of the Cassia flower which may have been selected later since I have not lived there for over 30 years. However, I suspect that the national arbor may be the cassia.

Any one who has more authority in this subject should reply.

Orchid is Thai Airways' official flower (afterall Thai orchids are supposed to be the most beautiful in the world)

Lotus is both the flower of India and Buddhism (Enlightenment or Wisdom). In fact, India might have recognized lotus as the symbol of the country after Buddhism precisely around Asoke the Great.

Mali or jasmine is associated with the present Queen's birthday in particular and religion in general, not just Buddhism. Remember that Thailand AND most Thai people do not make distinctions based on beliefs.

Chai-ya-pruek seems to be it (national flower) since it's also the flower of His Majesty. (analogous with how the King's birthday is also National Day)
