Well Thai people I am familiar with find me intensly annoying, evidenced by the fact that I am being corrected on tones daily. On the odd occasion when I have heard myself on video I can see how my pronunciation 'abrades the senses'. I suppose kids get correct pronunciation dinned into them and I have to put up with it. Maybe the best thing would be to record myself all the time until I get all the combinations to marry; yes I will give that a try, I owe it to my friends.

If you seriously want to record yourself, I highly recommend the Zoom portable MP3 recorder - http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000VBH2IG?ie=UTF8&tag=learningtha0e-20&linkCode=as2&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B000VBH2IG. I have used it to record my Thai classes as well as music ideas (guitar and voice) and some general wildlife sounds, and it works great!

I am using an MP3 player and it does too much, too many buttons to press and menues to look at, so I will try something simpler, record-rewind-listen is all I need.

What?? They look at Asians like they are 'really hungry'? Did you mean they look at Asian women too much?
