Is there a traditional greeting shared between Thais during this holiday? Westerners have "Merry Christmas" "Happy Holidays" "Happy New Year" etc....

I would like to share an appropriate greeting with my Thai friends (in Thai) - but I do not know how to express it...

Hi MarkCr, you can say:
สวัสดีปีใหม่ (Happy new year)
สุขสันต์วันวาเลนไทน์ (Happy new year)
ขอให้มีความสุข ( I wish you happiness)

I've never heard anyone saying "สุขสันต์วันลอยกระทง".
Instead, คืนนี้ไปลอยกระทงที่ไหน or กับใคร is more heard.

I've never heard someone saying "สุขสันต์วันลอยกระทง" or "สวัสดีวันลอยกระทง" ,etc. By the way ,it would be like a humorous way to say with your friends, family, or people. Just for fun ,but it's not a typical word to say.
You don't have to say any greeting words for this day. Just go to buy a กระทง and float it with your family or love. That's all
