As I am older than my missus, (aren't we all?) I remarked to her that I should be calling her older sister's husband น้องเขย, or at the least น้อง instead of พี่ due to the fact that I am 'a little' older than he.
Sorry, it don't work that way.
It seems that as she is the youngest daughter in the family, I'm obliged to address the other family members as if I had the same age as she.
Ok, I can live with that but why do the teenagers call her น้า but everyone calls me ตา.
Another blatant example of age discrimination as far as I'm concerned.
