New Thai Learning Method Partnership

Postby SarahLee » Wed Aug 27, 2014 3:28 am

Did you miss the latest seminar on learning Thai at Aloft Hotel in Bangkok? Read about a new partnership between Duke Lanugage School, Jcademy.com by Stuart Jay Raj and Glossika Language Training which will create a very fun and effective way to learn Thai.

I bought the Glossika Thai package about a year ago. I thought it was absolutely atrocious. The basic idea (i.e. that you take a bunch of English sentences and translate them into every language under the sun) is terrible and they've done a bad job of doing even that. The material was riddled with errors (and not just the Thai - this seems to be a problem with many other languages, too) and was borderline useless. To make matters worse, they have what is possibly the worst customer service on the planet and seem to be run by someone who takes pleasure in trolling the company's own Facebook pages. I wouldn't touch the company with a stick, and I'd seriously question the professionalism of any other company which had decided to join forces with them.
