Study Group in Seattle

Postby kkinloch » Mon Oct 05, 2015 10:05 pm

Hi All,
I'm posting just in case there are others in Seattle studying Thai who would like to participate in an informal study group that meets weekly.

The group usually has two or three native Thai speakers and three or four Americans at differing levels of fluency. We do focus on knowing the alphabet first, so we can move forward without transliteration. And while the group is informal, we are serious about learning Thai.

Messaging me if you are interested.

I am interested in learning Thai and would love to meet in the Seattle area to study with you. I am currently not taking any courses, but know a few words and would love to be fluent one day.

I'd be interested in a group like this. My only issue is I'm starting basically from ground 0. No knowledge of Thai minus phrase here an there. Would that be an issue?

Also, I've looked all over the place in Seattle, and outside of enrolling in UW, which I'm not able to do at this time, are there any formal ways to receive a proper Thai education?
