Thai class in Washington DC

Postby Jeffkayjay » Fri Sep 09, 2011 10:16 pm

Just wanted to pass along for those individuals in the DC/MD/VA area of the U.S., or visiting, that Wat Thai DC has a Sunday language class. It covers from beginner to advanced. We usually meet from 1300 to 1530 and it is no cost. The temple justs asks for donations if you can. Please reply or shoot me a message if you'd like further info...

Hello,
I am very interested in knowing if Wat Thai is still having classes on Sunday afternoons because I would be very interested in attending. Thank you for posting.

They are now Tuesday night (7-9pm) for the advanced class, and Thursday night (7-9pm) for beginner/advanced beginner. $50 donation for the class, takes place downstairs in the main temple (enter from the left side).

At the Wat's website, http://watthaidc.org/home/index.php/activities# , there is no link for "Thai classes" under Activities/In the Community.

Talked with the monk who teaches the adult classes (they have teachers from Thailand to teach children) and there is a new class that just started for beginners. I can find out what night/nights it is, or you can call Wat Thai DC.
