Looking for a Thai Class near Boston MA

Postby Greg » Mon Nov 18, 2002 10:39 pm

Just wondering if anyone has heard of a Thai class around the Boston area. Of course Thailand is on the opposite sides of the world but I would like to learn as much as possible before I go back in March. So any help or useful resources would be excellent. Thanks
Greg

Hmm. Anyone know about Thai classes in Boston?

As an aside, examining the following map diagram (courtesy of my brother) shows that Boston isn't *excatly* on the opposite side of the world from Bangkok, but it's close. If you dug straight down from Harvard Square, you'd come out in th Indian Ocean, southwest of Perth, Australia.

You can also see that Bangkok's closest antipode city is Lima, Peru.

Ok, ok, I'll stop now.

Close enough is right, its a long flight, Thanks for the update Glenn. It was a phrase since it is very hard to find someone that speaks Thai in this area. But i'm still looking.

Greg,
To my knowledge, Boston has one of the highest concentration of Thai people who live in the US ?
Why can't you find someone? Believe me, in Ohio, we have much less Thai people, but I still manage to find many ...

Just start with going to eat at the restaurants more often and start to make some friends ...

:)

PS. Call the Language Centers (such as something Lingua, or Bertliz etc... they will also have people for you, for special training besides classes.)
