The Thai language School.

Postby DerSchweizerInThailand » Tue Mar 20, 2012 4:54 am

Dear forum users, posters.

I am a Swiss guy living in Ayutthaya. I am on tourist visa and i would like to stay without having to do the Visa Run Drill.

I decided that the best way without getting married is to be a student in Bangkok.
To go to school would solve my language problem and my Visa problems at the same time.
I did my homework on the Visa already, i know how it works.

If any of you could help me to find more language schools that fit my criteria.

1. School provides Ed-visa, Registered with the MOE.
2. I can go to School once a week and preferably late mornings and/or afternoon.
3. I don't want to private teacher.
4. I would like to start in August/2012
5. The hours are 180h-200h and do not cost more then 30000THB a year.

So far i found these schools that fit the criteria.

My Thai Language
Pro language
Language Express
Smit language school.

Thank you for your answers in advance.

Kind regards

Just a note to say it was good to meet you today.

I hope you’ve found a school which “fits” your requirements as far as learning Thai.

I mentioned in another post on this site that you certainly were doing your "due diligence" in researching and visiting various Thai schools. That makes all the difference..

Good Luck,

Hello There

I was good to meet you too. It was certainly a coincidence to meet you on my first exploration trip to Bangkok.
I have narrowed my choices and have it down to three.

1. AAA
2. Pro Language
3. Paradigm

I will visit one of there free classes and then make my choice.

I made myself a matrix defining all my criteria and killer criteria.
After some online research and some phone calls I had it down to the list in my earlier post.
My trip to Bangkok narrowed it down to three and if two remain after visiting the schools and attending a free trial lesson I will base my choice on guts or which ever school fits me more.

I could not find your post. Please link me to it.

Kind Regards
