Anyway maybe this helps:
บางคน ต้องการ...
รักครั้งแรก
บางคน อยากเป็น...
รักสุดท้าย
บางคน ขอรัก...
จนวันตาย
บางคน ขอแค่
"ได้รัก" ก็พอ
Tgeezer wrote:Not so awkward is it? It depends on what you think "ได้รัก" means.
I think that it is "have loved". So the last line means: 'some people want to have loved' . That is the only important thing, the rest is just forms of love given as support: First love, last love, until they die.(?)

บางคน ต้องการ รักครั้งแรก ... some people want to be the first love
บางคน อยากเป็น รักสุดท้าย... some people want to be the last love
บางคน ขอรัก จนวันตาย ... some people would like to be loved until last day
บางคน ขอแค่ "ได้รัก" ก็พอ ... some people just would like to be able to love
Rick Bradford wrote:Perhaps the writer is remembering Tennyson in the final line ..
'Tis better to have loved and lost
Than never to have loved at all.
