Would you mind me asking 2 questions?

What do you need those translations for?

Are you studying Thai?

Hello daฟาน,

Thank you for asking and no worries you are most than welcome to ask anything. In fact i received these pictures from a Thai friend and she challenged me to translate them into English. As i did not start to learn Thai by now and due to the fact these are picture i cannot use online tools. This is the reason why i asked here for help. Thanks anyway for you efforts and hard work on moderating this forum and this is much appreciated.

Sounds both like an interesting and at the same time awkward challenge.

Anyway maybe this helps:

บางคน ต้องการ...
รักครั้งแรก
บางคน อยากเป็น...
รักสุดท้าย
บางคน ขอรัก...
จนวันตาย
บางคน ขอแค่
"ได้รัก" ก็พอ

Not so awkward is it? It depends on what you think "ได้รัก" means.
I think that it is "have loved". So the last line means: 'some people want to have loved' . That is the only important thing, the rest is just forms of love given as support: First love, last love, until they die.(?)

Thanks so much guys, this is helping a lot and allow me do do some research also. I tried my best according to your info and ended up wiht below translation. Bit of surprise to me to read this but hope i'm not too far from the real Thai meaning.

บางคน ต้องการ รักครั้งแรก ... some people want to be the first love
บางคน อยากเป็น รักสุดท้าย... some people want to be the last love
บางคน ขอรัก จนวันตาย ... some people would like to be loved until last day
บางคน ขอแค่ "ได้รัก" ก็พอ ... some people just would like to be able to love

What I meant by awkward is why would a girl send you images containing only Thai language if you are not even studying Thai. That just doesn't make too much sense to me.

However I think titi123 did a quite impressive job eventually.

Titi123,

I think you did a great job with this passage and squeezed out a meaning as close as possible to what was intended.

I would like to ask a question about the last line, however. The word ได้ meaning "to be able" or "can" usually comes after the main verb, rather than before. The use of ได้ before the main verb (a pre-verbal auxiliary) usually indicates something like the English "get to" or "get an opportunity to".

Thus, the last line may be better rendered, "Some people ask that they just get a change to love and that would be enough for them." or more simply, "For some people, just getting a taste of love would be enough."

What do you think?

Perhaps the writer is remembering Tennyson in the final line ..

'Tis better to have loved and lost
Than never to have loved at all.
