but I am perplexed as to what the sentence is trying to communicate. Here are some alternatives:

a. Every pair of eyes stared at him, unclear as to what he was talking about.
b. Every pair of eyes were on him, as if perplexed by what he was saying.
c. Everyone turned to watch him, with a confused expression on their face, as if they were wondering what he was saying.

Every pair of keen eyes were on him, as if perplexed by what he was saying.

จับจ้อง is a compound word, composed of the verb จับ and the verb จ้อง. Its meaning is equivalent to that of "to fix one's eyes on someone or something".

Well, I don't think they are perplexed by what he was saying. Instead, they are eager to know what he was saying.

สายตาทุกคู่หันมาจับจ้องเขามีแววสงสัย should be 'Every pair of eyes (Everyone) turned to watch him wonderingly'.

เหมือนอย่างอยากรู้เรื่องที่เขากำลังพูดอยู่ - as if (they are) eager to know what he was saying.

For example;

In a party, there is a guy suddenly said "Hey, anyone want to know the secret of .....?". Of course, anyone who heard this and want to know what he was talking about must turn to him (all ears), right?
