I'm concerned about the last word: นั่น F
I know there are several variations of "nan", so is this the correct one for that context?
Contrast with the following "nan" นั้น H which means "that is":
That is silom road:
นั้นถนนสีลม
EDIT: The following means "that road":
ถนนนั่น
Am I correct?

I don't feel that I fully understand นี่ นี่น นี้ นั้น as วิเศษณ์ in Thai, so I would like to examine the definitions in The RID.
นั่น is used after a noun to show that the thing is further away than นี่ shows.
โต๊ะนั่นอยู่ไกลกว่า(โต๊ะนี่ )
นี่ can also show ความชี้เฉพาะ specifying the object. โต๊ะนี่สวย you could be standing beside it. โต๊ะสวย doesn't say more than pretty table or tables.
Naturally when speaking, and it is obvious to what you refer you may well not specify it.
If you say โต๊ะสวย on the 'phone it's alright, but โต๊ะนี่สวย wouldn't make much sense unless both parties were familiar with the table.
You can also use นี่ with verbs!
I can't see 'verb นี่' as closer than 'verb นั่น'. So we must be talking about doing ชี้เฉพาะ to the verb. What does that mean? Pointing out that you have said it?
The examples are อยู่นี่ มานี่ .
**The difficulty of understanding this concept has resulted in people reverting to something easily understood; the pronoun 'here' I think.
Another definition of นี่ is to emphasise a verb, the example given for this is เดี๋ยวเฆี่ยนเสียนี่ **
That's it for นี่ นั่น as วิเศษณ์
นี้ use this after a noun or noun phrase which is ใกล้ or ชี้เฉพาะ
eg. ทุกวันนี้ abstract noun, everyday round about today, or material noun: men people who we can see or are known.
นั้น used after a noun or phrase/clause which precedes it.
eg.ในจดหมายฉบับนั้น .
ตามที่ได้กล่าวมาแล้วข้างต้นนั้น
นั้น I would say is The/That, but often can't be 'slotted in' to make English.
ถนนนั้นคงจะเป็นถนนสีลมครับ the/that road is likely to be Silom Road.
คนนั้น สิ่งนั้น show the object to be further away than นี้
Show ความแน่นอน คนใด...คนนั้น The person who... เมื่อใด... เมื่อนั้น The time when...

The examples are from spoken language. I got it from the Pimsleur Thai audio course:
This one is from Lesson/Unit 12, 4:30 into the lesson.
The whole sentence is:
สายกว่านั้นได้ไหมคะ "Later than that, ok?"
*notice that I changed the final "nan" to high tone as opposed to the way it was written in the original question!
สายกว่านั้น means later than that, right?
I'm concerned about the last word: นั้น H
I know there are several variations of "nan", so is this the correct one for that context?
According to the dictionary, entry 7 it can mean "at that time" so it makes sense to use it in a time context, right?
