Postby Taunusianer » Mon Apr 21, 2014 9:36 am

Hi,

just want to no if there is a special meaning for this sign (ω) in Thailand.

Reason for asking is, that I don't have a clue what the meaning of the following sentences is:

1. ˋωˊตำเองˋωˊ
2. แบบนี้เขาเรียกว่าˋωˊ

Mayby someone has an idea,

Thx

The only thing my immature mind could think of is that it might stand for some female body parts because of its shape

At the moment I am thinking that it's maybe only a 'space holder', but maybe someone else knows more.

555 I think it looks more like one of those Asian emoticons, like this one:

(っ• ̀ω•́ )っ

Where the ω is the nose ;)

So now that you understand what the sentences mean, can you tell me?
I don't have the symbol so use 'w'
What does แบแนี้เขาเรียกว่า ''w'. say?
Does แบบนี้ refer to 'w' ตำเอง 'w' ?
If so what does that say?

Does the deafening silence mean that the person who wrote it probably the only one who knows what it says?

The first sentence was referring to a som tum.So I think, that it was maybe exhausting, doing it ( ωตำเองω)

2nd had nothing to do with the 1st
for the second I have to add, this was a poem and that there was another line with the word รัก at the end (there were also many lines before)
So it should say:
'this they call ω love '

Firstly, thank you for the reply, very honest.
I asked because I heard a spoof on the internet generation who's conversation was laced with emoticons ie. She was like- "have a G R eight time colon, dash close brackets" for She said "have a gr8 time :-) " and instead of Oh my god (OMG) they actually said "Oh emm gee" . I wondered how this would be read, even more interesting since you say that a poem is involved.
Would that be, แบแนี้เขาเรียกว่า จุด โอเมกะ จุด?
Colon, dash, close brackets!

NB. I typed the symbols :,-,) where the text shows :) -colon close brackets.
