That's true Michael. I could only imagine how challenging it would be to need to remember what to say in not only english, but also in Thai as well.

Regardless of how it may sound to them, the crowd will surely respect you for the effort though. Good luck to you hope it goes well.

I Have been to Thailand and have attended several marriages there. Try incorporating this into your speech: ‘อาจเจ้าสาวและเจ้าบ่าวอยู่อย่างมีความสุขจนจบของเวลาและให้มีการรักไม่ได้เกลียด’. Have a wonderful trip and wishes to the bride and groom!

My best friend’s girlfriend is from Thailand, they are now engaged. They are planning the wedding in Thailand and they have invited me as well. I will be going to Thailand next month, I was wondering if there is any kind of crash course to learn the Thai language in a month, at least the basics.

Jack,

I suggest you contact one of the teachers listed in the Thai Language Instruction part of this forum.

Oh, It is easy to learn the Thai language. I was there for 2 months with my relatives family last year and I did learn to understand thai and to speak a few words. So there is no terror, you can go to the websites and learn some words in Thai and just prepare a speech.

Thanks

'taeng' + 'ngan'; and 'som' + 'rote mean marriage but 'som' + 'rote' it old fashion.
