For those of you who may have been interested in the book "ไวยากรณ์ไทย" (Thai Grammar) by ดร. นววรรณ พันธุเมธา (Dr. Nawawan Phanthumeta), The book is now available in its seventh printing at the Chula Book Center. I ordered it online and it arrived in Phuket within a few days. The cover price is 190 baht. ISBN 978-616-551-888-8.

I have the waiyakonthai (and just was wondering with a Thai lady about the phenomenon of a no nen plus เครื่องหมายทัณฑฆาต and its effect on a ro ruea in final position). My question is: I have it from the year ๒๕๕๘ ... which may translate into the year 2558 (?). 2558 minus 543 is 2015. Thus, do you think that I have the 7th edition (as of June 2015)?

Btw: The lookup of this site translates 2551 quickly into ๒๕๕๑ but the lookup seems not to know 2558.

Sorry, Thomas, I don't understand. The version I reviewed for my book review was the sixth printing, dated ๒๕๕๔ (2011). I do not buy every printing; I cannot opine whether there have been any substantive changes.

I was referring to the translation facility of Thai-language.com.

If you put in the lookup 2011 the output is:

1. 2011 2011
2. ๒๕๕๔ saawngR phanM haaF raawyH haaF sipL seeL [Thai digits] 2554 (i.e. the year 2011)

If you are doing the same with 2015 the output reads as follows:
