"บาง" vs "บ้าง"

The opening paragraphs of a recent article in Matichon Weekend provide an interesting contrast between the use of "บาง" the adjective and "บ้าง" the pronoun:
"คําว่า IGNORANCE เป็นคำที่แปลเป็นภาษาไทยได้ยากมากคำหนึ่ง
บางคนแปลว่า อวิชชา
บางคนแปลว่า การไม่รู้เรื่องรู้ราว
บ้างแปลว่าการเพิกเฉยต่อข้อเท็จจริง หรือความรู้

The English word "ignorance" is a very difficult word to translate into Thai.
Some people translate it as "Avidyā"
Others translate it to mean "lacking in knowledge or understanding".
While others translate it as "indifference to facts or learning".
