Dear Forum posters and readers.

Its has been a while since my last post. The last topic has been about a language school. I have choose Pro Language as the best for me. I have taken up class on Saturday for 4 hours. Its brutally long but if i could choose i would take 2x2 a week since your learning curve is better and the concentration in the last hour is close to zero.

I also would like to advise to future students of the Thai language to consider taking up reading and writing from scratch. Why...?
Because if you learn phonetic you must use only one source .... different sources = different options to write things.

Please advise my with some info regarding movies. That i can watch and learn Thai.

Kind regards from Ayutthaya...not flooded...yay :D

Hi Lino,

I've been wondering the same question, and finally found a set of movies that I really enjoyed. I'm quite a big fan of higher quality, somewhat artistic movies due to my background. Because they are well made and good looking, they keep your attention focussed. These movies I can recommend :

Last Life in the Universe (Ruang Rak Noi Nid Mahasan)
Sud Sanaeha (blissfully yours)
Invisible Waves
Nang Mai (Nymph)
Monrak Transistor (Transoster Love Story)
Ruang Talok 69 (6ixtynin9)
Fah Talai Jone (tears of the Black Tiger)
Sud Pralad (Tropical Malady)
Mah Nakorn (Citizen Dog)
Sang Sattawat (Syndromes and a Century)
Fun Bar Karaoke
Pen Choo Kub Pee (The Unseeable)
Mysterious Object at Noon
The Adventure of Iron Pussy
Ploy

Most of them are modern and beatiful. All of these can be found with subtitles (There's a torrent file somewhere called "Thai New Wave Directors Collection" that contains the subtitle files)

Good luck!

I love that first Ong Bak movie. That first scene at the tree is worth the entire movie by itself.

Be aware of the DVD Region if you want it to play in your DVD player. I've bought many films from them and have been happy with the service.
