Hello, my names is Andrés and Im from the island of Puerto Rico. It is a small island where we speak Spanish. Recently I visited India and meet a person who became my friend. She is from Chiang Mai and I just want to try to surprise her speaking her language. Is there certain order that I have to follow in order to start speaking the language?

Thanks

Welcome! I would say it depends on how serious you are. If you want to just learn a few sentences to impress her then a phrase book will do just fine which will have the small talk sentences in it. If you are serious about learning then I would suggest you tackle the alphabet too. Seems daunting but it can be learned.
