Thai Keyboard Stickers

Only my main PC at home has a Thai keyboard, and I find I miss it when studying without it. On-screen keyboards are too slow, not to mention all the copy+paste shenanigans.

If only my netbook had a Thai keyboard, it would be ideal for studying on the move...

I found quite a lot of places online including eBay selling keyboard strickers, designed to be stuck on to an existing keyboard to make it bi-lingual. These sound like an ideal solution, even though it would have me scraping off some of the secondary functions/letters already present on most netbook keys.

Has anyone ever tried these, perhaps even on a netbook/laptop? Do they look okay? Is there a particular product or brand that is reommended? Do they tend to wear out and look tacky?

Some time ago I tried stickers (not for Thai layout but that doesn't matter), and they were more trouble than they were worth. It takes a bit of care to put them so that they are nicely aligned, and in my case they started sliding after a while. Removing them was a messy process. But my experience is limited to that one case; I'm sure that good quality stickers can be really nice, and maybe others here can give specific recommendations.

Make sure to check the size, since some netbooks have significantly smaller keys than external keyboards.

I can't touch type Thai so I need a reference, but so far I've been happy with a virtual/onscreen keyboard. There's a textarea and an image of the layout. It doesn't slow me down because I'm typing normally with my physical keyboard, just looking at the image. There are a number of websites where you can do this without installing anything.
