ติด short for ติดกับ?

Postby Kabouterke » Thu Feb 18, 2021 2:00 pm

Hi,

I am struggling to understand this sentence: ที่นั่งฉันติดหน้าต่างค่ะ

Specifically, ติด is confusing me. I know that it must mean "next to", but none of the translations of ติด in the dictionaries make sense.

The only thing I can gather is that ติด is short for ติดกับ. Do you agree?

Thanks for the help!

Longdo managed to make ต่อเหนื่องอย่างใกล้ชิด mean "next to". The example is ห้องติดกัน. So I guess ที่นั่งกับหน้าตางติดกัน works.
How do you use ติดกับ?
