Can someone explain to me the difference between เมื่อเช้านี้ and เช้านี้ for 'this morning'?

When would you use one versus the other? Thank you.

When เมื่อ precedes such a phrase of time as เช้านี้, เมื่อ shows that เช้านี้ is the time in the past.

As for เช้านี้, it is used when one wants to say that something is happening at the moment or will happen shortly.
