The pronunciation should be sanR chaatF dtaL yaanM.

สัญชาตญาณ is a combination of two words; สัญชาต and ญาณ. Often when Sanskrit/Pali loan words are combined the last letter of the first word is pronounced with a สระ อะ. In this case ตะ.

I had the same doubt and thought it should be as some other composite words (specialy Pali - Sanscrit) I've seen before, and the last consonant of the first word will also be the first consonant of a syllable with an unwritten สระ อะ
so I expected what SuperBaby mentioned, but looking at "once upon a time" transcription in wikipedia and the RID definition for

กาล ๑, กาล- [กาน, กาละ-] น. เวลา, คราว, ครั้ง, หน. (ป., ส.).

I should admit Simon suggestion seems correct, even I can't understand if this is the consequence of a "rule" or is something you have to simply know

Yes, Khun Mangkorn, you are correct that when กาล stands alone it is pronounced กาน. But กาล has Sanskrit/Pali origins therefore when combined with another word the pronunciation changes. This is shown in the entry from RID;

กาล , กาล- [กาน, กาละ-]

While I'm here I'll just add something. The extra อะ which is sometimes between Sanskrit/Pali syllables is called อะครึ่งเสียง. Here's the entry from the TL.com dictionary;

[literally "-ah half-sound"] [a grammatical practice in Thai whereby some Pali or Sanskrit words are pronounced with an extra '-a' sound when compounded into multi-syllable words]

I too was somewhat surprised by the lack of the /n/ sound in the combining forms for the RID entries:

กาล ๑, กาล- [กาน, กาละ-] น. เวลา, คราว, ครั้ง, หน. (ป., ส.).

Yet, many words of Sanskrit/Pali origins have that final letter of a syllable pronounced twice - as the final, and then the subsequent beginning letter of the next syllable (or half-syllable), no?
