shortcut keystroke for switching Thai/English

Postby Gwindor » Thu Sep 11, 2003 6:02 pm

I'm using Windows XP. I have the little blue square on my "Task Bar" that allows me to switch between EN and TH.

I prefer to use keyboard shortcuts whenever possible, as I find reaching for the mouse to be a nuisance. But I don't know any keyboard shortcut to switch between English typing and Thai typing. Is there such a shortcut for Windows?

Much obliged for any help I can get!
:) :) ;) ;)

You can set up the keyboard shortcut in the Windows control panel.

Go to "Regional and Language Options" and click the "Languages" tab.

Click "Details..."

At the bottom, you'll see "Key Settings."

You can set the key sequence in there. Usually the Tilde "~" key is used to switch back and forth.

shortcut keystroke for switching Thai/English

Postby Richard Wordingham » Fri Sep 12, 2003 2:46 pm

With Windows XP, I found that shift-alt was set up by default for stepping through the locales. (I have three - English (UK), English (US) and Thai.) It may be vital that you find out what key to use - sometimes you may find you have to switch locales to enter your password!
