July 2001 News Archive Rewrote the auto-transliteration code from scratch; the new version is now online! Most words are transliterated correctly, and further improvements to the system are still in the works. In addition to searching the definitions, search now searches for the specified text within phrases Search now uses active full-text search, rather than predefined keywords Many dictionary entries were broken into component words, and certain marked phrases can now appear in the dictionary listings. Total number of entries thus is now at 2013 [internal] DictDB object implemented to wrap dm,pmgr,km,tem,cews objects Current count of dictionary entries now reported on the main dictionary tab This "site news" section was implemented Dictionary entries received from Mr. Darnall; uploaded to site as-is, now 1636 entries Guestbook now implemented and online "Bangkok clock" code improved by using arrays; set transparency in character styles .gif files "Quick survey" now implemented and online |
