2.   [verb, loanword, Chinese]
definition
to compromise; conciliate

notesThis word refers to an unholy alliance. This word comes from the *Teochew dialect loosely meaning negotiations and/or reconciliation to reach a compromise, which may be considered to be improper. Some quarters in the Thai press are currently using this word to question whether or not Thai PM Abhisit Vejjajiva’s offer to the UDD to join the national reconciliation road map plan may actually be part of a secret unholy alliance between two opposing sides for personal (political) gains.
