May 2003 News Archive After much battling with XML components, specifically WINHTTP5, MSXML 4.0, etc., I managed to get the dynamic "Now Online" status panel working. This XML proof-of-concept demonstrates
I like it. Released version 1.0 of the site control panel, including color schemes, audio link method, hoverdefs on/off, auto-caret, and now-online privacy. Wrote a reference section on a spelling exceptions. Fixed some transliterations. Added a few entries. Wrote a reference section on a tone rule exception. Wrote the downloadable "Crude TIS-620 to/from Unicode Converter" application. It's a program to explicitly convert between TIS-620 Thai text and Unicode. Use it to copy/paste those pesky Thai emails that look like gobbledygook into other applications, or copy text out of older Thai applications which use the old 8-bit fonts.
