กลอง ๑ /กฺลอง/
[นาม]	เครื่องตีทำด้วยไม้เป็นต้น มีลักษณะกลม กลวง ขึงด้วยหนัง มีหลายชนิด, ถ้าขึ้นหนังหน้าเดียว มีรูปยาวมาก ใช้สะพายในเวลาตี เรียกว่า กลองยาว หรือ เถิดเทิง ก็ว่า, ถ้าขึ้นหนังหน้าเดียว มีรูปกลมแบนและตื้น เรียกว่า กลองรำมะนา, ถ้าขึ้นหนังทั้ง ๒ หน้า ร้อยโยงด้วยสายหนัง เรียกว่า กลองมลายู, ถ้าร้อยโยงด้วยหวาย เรียกว่า กลองแขก กลองชนะ, ถ้าขึ้นหนังตรึงแน่นทั้ง ๒ หน้า เรียกว่า กลองทัด.

[นาม]	ชื่อเพลงชนิดหนึ่งเป็นเพลงแขก ใช้ปี่ชวาและกลองแขก ทำนองเล่นกระบี่กระบอง ที่เรียกว่า สะระหม่า, ทำตอนที่เล่นกีฬา ท่าต่าง ๆ มีรำดาบ รำง้าว เป็นต้น เรียกว่า เพลงกลองแขก ก็ได้, อีกอย่างหนึ่งเมื่อรำเป็นท่ามลายู ซึ่งเรียกว่า สะระหม่าแขก ใช้เพลง เรียกว่า กลองมลายูเครื่องและทำนองอย่างเดียวกับเพลงกลองแขก แต่ในตอนนี้รำกริช.
