การลาบวช ลาพ่อ แม่ ลาญาติผู้ใหญ่ ปู่ ย่า ตา ยาย gaanM laaM buaatL laaM phaawF maaeF laaM yaatF phuuF yaiL bpuuL yaaF dtaaM yaaiM | When taking leave to become ordained as a monk, [a person should] bid farewell to his parents, his senior relatives, and his grandparents. |
| ผู้ที่จะบวชต้องเตรียม พาน ดอกไม้ธูปเทียน ไปกราบลา phuuF theeF jaL buaatL dtawngF dtriiamM phaanM daawkL maaiH thuupF thiianM bpaiM graapL laaM | A monk candidate needs to prepare a tray, flowers, joss sticks, candles as part of his taking leave. |
| และกล่าวคำขอขมาว่า laeH glaaoL khamM khaawR khaL maaM waaF | And, he asks for forgiveness using the following words: |
| "กรรมใดที่ข้าพเจ้าได้เคย ล่วงเกินต่อท่าน ด้วยกายก็ดี ด้วยวาจาก็ดี ด้วยใจก็ดี ทั้งต่อหน้า และลับหลัง ทั้งที่รู้และไม่รู้ ขอท่านโปรดอโหสิกรรมนั้นแก่ข้าพเจ้าด้วยเทอญ" gamM daiM theeF khaaF phaH jaoF daiF kheeuyM luaangF geernM dtaawL thanF duayF gaaiM gaawF deeM duayF waaM jaaM gaawF deeM duayF jaiM gaawF deeM thangH dtaawL naaF laeH lapH langR thangH theeF ruuH laeH maiF ruuH khaawR thanF bpro:htL aL ho:hR siL gamM nanH gaaeL khaaF phaH jaoF duayF theernM | “If I have ever offended you by deed or word; whether openly or in my mind; whether directly to your face or behind your back; whether I was aware or unaware of such offence, I humbly beseech your pardon and forgiveness.” |
| ญาติผู้ใหญ่ จะเอื้อมมือมารับพาน yaatF phuuF yaiL jaL euuamF meuuM maaM rapH phaanM | The senior relatives reach out to accept the tray [and its accessories]. |
| แล้วกล่าวว่า "สาธุ ยินดีอโหสิกรรมให้ และขอให้ อโหสิกรรมแก่ข้าพเจ้าด้วย" laaeoH glaaoL waaF saaR thooH yinM deeM aL ho:hR siL gamM haiF laeH khaawR haiF aL ho:hR siL gamM gaaeL khaaF phaH jaoF duayF | [The relatives] then proclaim, “Amen! We agree to forgive you and we ask that you grant your forgiveness to us as well.” |
| "ข้าพเจ้าขออนุโมทนาต่อท่านที่ได้บวชในพระพุทธศาสนา" khaaF phaH jaoF khaawR aL nooH mo:hM thaH naaM dtaawL thanF theeF daiF buaatL naiM phraH phootH thaH saatL saL naaR | “We congratulate you on your Buddhist ordination.” |
| "ทดแทนคุณบิดา มารดา และจงเป็นศาสนทายาท สืบต่อพระพุทธศาสนาด้วยดี" thohtH thaaenM khoonM biL daaM maanM daaM laeH johngM bpenM saaR saL naH thaaM yaatF seuupL dtaawL phraH phootH thaH saatL saL naaR duayF deeM | “[And] to repay the obligation you have to your parents, [we hope you will] carry on the traditional religious practices and effectively pass on the Buddhist faith.” |
| แล้วนาคเอาพานวางที่พื้น กราบลงอีกครั้ง laaeoH naakF aoM phaanM waangM theeF pheuunH graapL lohngM eekL khrangH | The person who is being ordained then takes the tray and places it on the ground and bows in supplication once again. |
